No, my mouth isnt sore from eating so much... I had the second stage of my tooth implant done yesterday and I look a little like I have dip in my lip!  A new tooth and stitches make it a little sore, but Im thankful that Im on the downhill slope of this whole process!

I have ran 2 days this week, and Im hoping to feel well enough to run tonigth.  I wasnt sure if I should run just having this work done, but Im going to give it a shot tonight.

I had a bowl of Brown Cow by Mayfield last night... its my most FAVORITE Ice cream in the WORLD.  OMG its SO GOOD!!!!  Ladies and Gentlemen, this is why Im fat.....

Also, tonight is the first round of the NFL Draft.  I think Nathan and I are going to grill some chicken and watch the Panthers blow their first round pick, then were gonna get up in the attic and start cleaning out for our yard sale Saturday!

Also, be praying for all the people in the south effected by the tornados.  We once again got lucky and did not have any damage.  It makes me sick when I see the pictures on TV of the devistation.

The Sparkly Project

My new friend is having a giveaway, go check her out!  :)

Practice Makes Perfect

Saturday morning Nate and I got up and ran errands.  When we arrived back home, he commenced to window washing with the Windex Window Washer kit, which I HIGHLY recommend!  He had washed the windows a couple weeks prior and they looked TERRIBLE!!!  HAHA  Now you cant even tell there is any glass there!  Amazing!

While he was outside I was inside baking up my practice cupcakes for my sisters shower.  Since I had to be at church at 4 for rehearsal and Easter service we all brought food and so I took the cupcakes for dessert!  I used green color spray to tint the icing, but Im not thrilled with it.  It looks to much like grass to me.  I think Im actually going to try to tint the icing orange or green.  For the words, I just melted blue chocolate discs in a ziplock bag, and clipped off the end to write out words.  I cant wait to make these for real for Kimmies shower!  I know Ryder will enjoy her eating one or two!  :)

Weekend fun

Its been a while since I posted and I have very good reason!  I've been BUSY! Last Wed. night we drove with our friends Miranda and Jed to Winston Salem to see Zac Brown Band.  They were AWESOME!!!

Last Thursday Nathan and I took my nephew Caine to see the ACC Seniors Barnstorming Tour at Lincolnton High School. It was a fun game and Caine got LOTS of autographs from Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith!

Last weekend was filled with wedding festivities, storms, and .... STREP THROAT.... that put me out of business for a couple days into last week.  The wedding was in Albermarle so Nathan and I spent the weekend at his parents house in Kannapolis so the drive wasnt so bad.  We had such a good time visiting with his parents.

This weekend we met Nathans cousin Dustin and his wife Kasey at Quaker Steak in Concord for some good ol wings!  They were delish and Dustin brought me the most wonderful cupcakes ever made.  They are called Cinnafuls and Im bound and determined to figure out the recipe and make them for myself.

Saturday morning we woke up early and met at Matt and Brittanyes house to prepare the goody bags for the homeless at As One Ministries in Gastonia.  As One is a wonderful resource for homeless in Gastonia.  They can be fed, shower, and receive the love of Gods people there and Saturday our small group volunteered to feed them.  We prepared Spaghetti and Meatballs with a salad and garlic bread, cookies and fruit punch.  We also sent them away with a goody bag of water, cheese crackers, a banana, and a message about how much God loves them.  We had a blast cooking together and serving.

After that Nathan and I went with the Lee's to Sugar Creek Garden Center for their container days event.  We took four pots and they turned out BEAUTIFUL!   After that we stopped by Fords nursery in downtown Gastonia and I bought this hanging basket.

Nathan and I had already planned to grill hamburgers Saturday night so the Lee's came over and we ate and watched There Will Be Blood.  Let me go ahead and tell you..dont ever watch this movie.  It is long, weird, and pointless...it will waste valuable time you could be doing something else...like watching paint dry.  I dont understand how critics rate movies!  Even though the movie was terrible we had an awesome day with our friends and no bad movie can ruin that, we just made fun of it!

Sunday Nathan played with the band at Bethlehem and I had the opportunity to lead worship at The Salt Mine in Charlotte.  Pastor Steve had a wonderful message about the last supper and we took communion together to end the service.  He is such a captivating teacher.  I could listen to him teach all day!  I met Nate back at home and we had lunch togther out on our patio and then I had a meeting with the vocal team at church for our Easter services at Bethlehem.  If you do not have a home church I urge you to visit with us at Bethlehem!  We are having a Saturday night Easter service as well as two on Sunday morning and Im SO excited to be singing with the band!  After practice I came back home and Nathan and I worked in the yard a little and then enjoyed some grilled chicken and a grilled onion.  Im so thankful for the beautiful weather we had this weekend, but please be praying for our fellow North Carolinians.  We were so lucky to not have the severe storms like they did on Saturday morning.

This week is looking good.  Tonight Im going to go for a run, and working in the yard.  I slipped up a bit this weekend because of the cupcakes, but they were SO GOOD!!!  I have to pick myself up and get back on track now!

oh, My mom also finished making my new outdoor pillows I just have to stuff them and sew them shut!  Here are two that are already finished!

Ill do a weight update on Wed.

3 cups of coffee and DIY network = crazy me!

April Fools is always a fun day for me.  This year I stole a paper clip holder from my manager at work and jelloed it!  Everyone got a kick out of that one!

Saturday was a beautiful day in the Carolinas!  I woke up and had my coffee, then another cup, and another while I was watching a yard crasher show on DIY.  Let me just tell you, that is NOT a good combination.  After about 20 min. into the show I had decided we were going to build a brick patio in front of our little storage building with the leftover supplies from building our patio last year!  So in a little over an hour and a half it was complete!!

Nathan and I worked outside all day, cleaning out flower beds and mostly doing yard work.  He also cooked a Boston Butt on the grill while we were working and our friends Matt and Brittnye came over for supper.  It was so nice outside we got to use our new patio table set for the first time!

Im not sure if I told you about the chair I found on the side of the road, but this is it!  I spray painted it red and now Im just looking for the perfect pot to sit in the seat to make a beatiful piece for my garden.

Sunday was wonderful as well, we went to the early service and heard a great message by Dickie and then went to Martha Rivers Park for a picnic lunch and a little walk.  When we got home we washed our cars and relaxed while we watched the ACM Awards.  I have to say...I'm not a Taylor Swift fan, but she is really stepping it up here lately!  I'm proud of her, she sounded great on the show, which is a pretty big feat to sound good on live TV!

This week is going to be pretty exciting.  We had a horrible storm last night and had no power this morning, its still not back on to my knowledge.  Hopefully it will be back by tonight, Nathan has been begging me to cook Hot Dogs for supper! lol It doesnt take much to please him.  Tomorrow we are driving to Winston Salem to see Zac Brown Band.  We will be a little late because I cant get off work early, but it will be worth the drive, they are AWESOME!  Thursday night we are taking my nephew Caine to a Basketball game at Lincolnton High School where Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith will be palying on teh team.  Nathan and Caine are SO excited about this game!  Friday Im off work because Nathan's cousin Adrienne is getting married and they live in Albermarle, so Nathan and I are going to spend the weekend at his parents house in Concord so we can save a little $ on gas driving all teh way back to Gastonia a million times!  Im singign in the wedding so we have to be at rehersal and all that fun stuff.  Im looking forward to it, his family is so sweet and Im so happy for Adrienne!  Sunday morning we are going to church with Nathans family because his little niece Landry is singing in church for the first time!  She is a doll!

Hope everyone has a great week and weekend!
